Sutter has been represented by galleries throughout North America including such cities as NYC, NY., Montreal, Canada, Atlanta, Ga., Palm Beach, Fl., Washington, D.C., and Saratoga Springs, N.Y. His work has won numerous prizes in competitions and been awarded State University of New York research fellowships, and The New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship. He has been guest lecturer and critic at Richmond College, London, England, Huron College, London, England, New York Foundation of the Arts, Courtland, NY., and The Nancy G. Dickenson visiting Artist Lecture Series, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. Mr. Sutter’s work has been included in Art News, Art in America, Arts Magazine, Sculpture International, The Village Voice, and Art Forum, and his work is in both private and public collections in America, Canada, England, Brazil, and Columbia. Jim currently lives in New York and South Florida.
